OUR PACKAGING

We have worked really hard to find packaging products that balance high performance without creating unnecessary waste destined for landfill. We are especially conscious of the amount of plastic that sadly ends up in our seas. We hope that our choices have managed to find that balance. Here are some details on how to dispose of our packaging.

Coolseal Outer Box: Our friends at Coolseal have crafted our fully recyclable box out of previously recycled materials! Just check your local recycling rules to allow it to be recycled again! (Since they are really sturdy, you could even utilise it some other way first. Let us know if you find an interesting use for your Fresh Gains box.)

Woolpac Pouch: This clever little eco-friendly pouch is designed to hug your fish and help protect it in transit as well as maintain those cool temperatures. The wool fleece can be added to your compost heap to break down naturally and the outer bag can be added to your plastic recycling too.

Coolapack Ice Pads: We like these ice pads because not only do they offer incredible performance but you can re-use them over and over. Just put them in your home freezer to give them a new lease of life. When you are done, empty the gel from each pocket into your sink and wash it away with water. The plastic film can be recycled but the fabric side is still not completely recyclable. We are working with our supplier to see if there is a better alternative for the fabric side for future ice pads.
